Wow were do I start. If you own a computer and like me have a budget then buy this. My computer.5Gb Athlon, 512 RAM which is fine for me because I use external synths, but once I add a few effects in cubase and EQ it starts to struggle. Now I do all my processing externally through the 01X, EQ, effects etc are a breeze for the 01X so the only strain on my CPU now is the track count.

Also as a controller for Cubase it's flawless and now Yamaha own Steinberg this is only gonna get better. I use alot of MIDI gear so if I'm gonna split hairs the 01X could do with a few more MIDI channels.

To sum up if I was to put together a recording system like the one I have without using the 01X.it would cost me at least 3 times the price and would probably be half as good and trying to get them all to live together in harmoney would probably give me a few more ulcers!!!!!!Price paid999 GBPUTILIZATIONEasy peasy, done exactly what it sais on the tin. AD/DA is so good it's untrue. The only problem I have sound wise is with the reverb. Yes, because compact, robust and practical. To carry my 01X, I bought at Thomann, Thon plattensplielerbox fr Technics 1200 BZW (89) and it is wonderful!Just dcoller (hard when even! CHARACTERISTICS impressive on paper and Ralite too beautiful machine.UTILIZATIONA person strongly deprecated debutante, the mLAN (supposedly the new standard for Yamaha) is really hard to rev up mainly on PC, it is true that once installed the machine runs well, but it is complex for novices.SOUNDSSound good as usual. Yamaha, pramplis very effective, say anything about this chapter.OVERALL OPINIONI have used for nearly a year and a half before selling it because I have too much problem of stability with my pc and mLAN. I REALLY recommend this console for people mastering the tools and with specific knowledge on systems Yamaha. Beginners refrain.

The color and the 'big sound' will only be achieved through devices, but the routing is powerful enough to consider a hybrid configuration really push.The effects are the same as the 96, so efficient and clean as it remains moderate in the assay. But everyone knows that too much effect kills the effect!!

The amp simulations are more than sufficient to replace the product type Vamp for a guitarist who wants to make own demos.OVERALL OPINIONGreat art!It is MUCH more than a computer interface / control surface. The possibilities are immense and mixing the option of adding 16 I / O via mLan is really interresting.If we forget the preamp, it's flawless and considering the price we can invest in ancillary equipment.so do not hesitate, go for it!
